ABOUT
After many years of opening their doors to entertain and host friends and family, Pam and Darren Tisdale decided to share their beautiful historic home with friends they have not met yet. Making their guests feel at home, like being at grand mama's house, is a passion they have for every visitor that they welcome in. The Heller House Inn has a sub-name that is simply called "Shabbat" . This is a Hebrew word for REST. They desire their bed and breakfast not just to be a place of lodging, but a place each guest can find PEACE and REST.

OUR STORY
Pam and Darren's journey began in 1998 when they were married. In the past 19 years, they spent 12 years of that time in youth ministry. With 3 children of their own, it seemed like a perfect fit. Even though they are no longer in church youth ministry, "ministry" has never stopped. They have spent much time on the mission field and still continue to do so today. They currently spend time in Serbia, Romania and Germany ministering the Gospel. Along with the Bed and Breakfast, Darren runs a full time commercial lawn care business and is also the Mayor of Kingstree. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren - 3 active boys and 1 beautiful girl.
THE ROOMS

THE RIVER ROOM
Beautifully decorated with a spoon carved, antique, double bed and a single pineapple bed, the River Room is perfect for those that are traveling with a child or family. Located on the second floor of the house, this spacious room is adjacent to the bathroom and adorns a fireplace and a ceiling fan.
THE PROPERTY
The Heller House is named after the owners, Mr. and Mrs. MF Heller who bought the property in 1890. After their purchase of the house, they started an extensive renovation which included adding an upstairs, pressed tin ceilings and gas overhead lighting, which was the first of its kind in Kingstree. In 1910, the Baptist Church, located across the street, was replacing its original wooden structured sanctuary. It is said that Mr. Heller instructed the builders to bring the sanctuary across the street and he had it attached as a dining room. Today, it still serves as a beautiful formal dining room.
LOCATION
The Heller House Inn is located in the small town of Kingstree, SC. Centrally located close to Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia and Florence, Kingstree is the perfect place to experience small town life and close enough for day visits to explore any of South Carolina's major cities.
The Town of Kingstree acquired its name from a large white pine which was rare in this area and was a land mark on the banks of the Black River. King George directed that the straightest and biggest of the white pines were to be marked with an arrow to show they were reserved for His navel stores. The tall trees were to be used as masts on his Majesty's ships. They were known as The King's Tree.
